MCC Press
MCC Press is the publishing house founded in 2021 by the Mathias Corvinus Collegium. According to its founders’ intention, it aims to be a new, fresh intellectual forum that builds on traditions and believes in the power of books.
MCC Press seeks to enrich both specialist and general readerships by publishing works spanning a wide spectrum of academic disciplines. To that end, its primary mission is twofold: on the one hand, to make contemporary authors’ works widely available; on the other hand, to fill gaps in the literature by publishing titles that have been influential in international scholarly debates in recent decades but are not readily available domestically. The press also sees it as its mission to make notable Hungarian scholarly achievements from the Carpathian Basin accessible to non-Hungarian-speaking readers. Through its publishing activities the press achieves several goals at once: it connects domestic audiences to international debates and scientific discourses that are little known in Hungary, and it provides publishing opportunities for MCC’s faculty, lecturers and students. MCC Press primarily focuses on high-quality social science academic publishing and popular science; its diverse portfolio includes specialist works on economics, international relations, migration, education and climate policy.
