Senior UN Youth Delegate of Hungary.

Hungary’s Junior UN Youth Delegate 

Wettstein Annamária served as Hungary’s Junior UN Youth Delegate in 2024 and as Senior Delegate in 2025. Together with her senior counterpart, she participates in a national outreach program aimed at channeling young people’s opinions to decision-makers. The delegates have organized numerous events and create online educational content reaching tens of thousands of young people. As one of the representatives of Hungarian youth voices, she has spoken at the United Nations and helped organize a side event focusing on the role of youth and young women in peacebuilding processes. 

Annamária is a student at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where she studies International Social and Public Policy. She received the Stipendium Peregrinum scholarship to support her studies. 

Since high school, she has been actively involved in engaging young people in public debates and developing a culture of discussion. After winning first place in the National Youth Council’s debate competition, she co-founded the Debate Club at Deák Téri Lutheran Secondary School. She has organized and moderated several public debates, fostering dialogue between young people and policymakers. As one of the main organizers of the Youth Conference on the Future of Europe (IKEJ), she conveyed Hungarian youth proposals to the European Parliament and its Members. 

In the summer of 2023, as a Hungary Foundation scholar, she worked at one of the most influential American think tanks, the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) in Washington, D.C., focusing mainly on public policy and technology policy analysis, and creating educational online content, including podcasts. 

Alongside her university studies, she is dedicated to strengthening the community of Hungarian students studying abroad and serves on the organizing committee of the LSE Hungarian Society. The society’s work, including embassy, cultural, culinary, and career events, was recognized by the LSE Students’ Union with the “Best National and Cultural Society” award.
