Balázs Sárvári

Senior Research Fellow at the Sustainable Finance Department of the central bank of Hungary

Dr. Balázs Sárvári is Senior Research Fellow at the Sustainable Finance Department of the central bank of Hungary and a Senior Lecturer at Corvinus University of Budapest. He previously served for five years as Rector of the St. Ignatius Jesuit College for Advanced Studies. His main research interests include sustainable finance, normative aspects of economic decision-making, and Chinese economic policy. He began his academic career at the Department of Microeconomics at Corvinus University, where in 2018 he was voted Best Lecturer of the Faculty of Business by students. Beyond academia, he also has experience in economic journalism, having worked at Gazdasági Rádió and later as editor and section head at Figyelő Online. His publications appear in Hungarian and international journals and edited volumes, and he is a regular speaker at domestic and international conferences.
