Mónika Besenyei

Dr. Mónika Besenyei is the director of the MCC Climate Policy Institute and an assistant professor at Széchenyi István University, where she is the program developer and instructor for the ESG management master's program. She supplemented her background in mathematics, physics, environmental engineering, and economics with a doctorate from Corvinus University of Budapest, and her research focused on the integration of sustainability initiatives into higher education. 

Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience in the academic, public administration, and corporate sectors. She has been involved in the implementation and auditing of environmental management systems, the development of sustainability strategies and programs, and the planning and implementation of national and European Union projects. Her professional activities are centered on research, education, project management and the provision of policy advice. 

Her areas of expertise include the development of ESG strategy, consulting, the circular economy, and the provision of support for the green transition.
