Prof. László Bozó, atmospheric scientist, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, senior advisor at HungaroMet, and head of a Doctoral School at MATE. His work focuses on the modeling of the atmospheric dispersion, transformation, and deposition of pollutants causing atmospheric acid deposition and heavy metals harmful to human health and ecosystems in the atmosphere, as well as their deposition on soils and surface waters. He is involved in other environment related issues such as the atmospheric water cycle, and environmental sustainability. With his model calculations and analyses, he contributed to the scientific foundation of the international convention on transboundary air pollution (CLRTAP Heavy Metals Protocol), which regulates the European emissions of toxic heavy metals.
