Csaba Gondola

State Secretary for Circular Economy and Climate Policy at the Ministry of Energy.

He was born in Debrecen in 1990. He obtained his law degree from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Debrecen in 2016. Prior to that, he studied law at the University of Vienna between 2012 and 2013 and at the Catholic University of Leuven in 2014. In 2014, he was a legal intern at the Nagy&Trócsányi law firm, and in 2015 at the American law firm Robison, Curphey & O'Connell LLC. From 2015 to 2017, he was a junior corporate lawyer in the European Legal Department of National Instruments Hungary Kft. From 2018, he worked as a bilateral advisor for North America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, then became chief of staff at the Parliamentary and Strategic Secretariat of the Prime Minister's Office. From 2019 to 2022, he was Deputy Chief of Staff to the Minister of Justice, and from 2022, he served as Senior Policy Advisor to the Ministry of Technology and Industry and Senior Advisor to the Ministry of Energy, its legal successor. From 2023, he served as managing director of the Energy Strategy Institute Nonprofit Ltd., and from March 1, 2025, he became State Secretary for Circular Economy and Climate Policy at the Ministry of Energy. He is married and has one child.
