Director, Topchubashov Center

Rusif Huseynov is the Director of the Topchubashov Center in Baku. His main research interests are socio-political developments, frozen conflicts, and ethnic minorities in post-Soviet countries, with a geographical focus on Eastern Europe, the Middle East, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. He received his bachelor’s degree from Baku State University and his master’s degree from the University of Tartu. He is a ReThink.CEE (2021) fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the local focal point of the EU4Dialogue project. He has also taught as a lecturer at ADA University. He writes articles for international publications such as The National Interest, the Jamestown Foundation’s Eurasia Daily Monitor, and New Eastern Europe.
